Daniel Nový joins the Guarantee System as its Senior Lawyer

Prague, January 14, 2025 – In January 2025, Daniel Nový joined the Financial Market Guarantee System as its Senior Lawyer.

Daniel Nový will be responsible for the Financial Market Guarantee System’s legal agenda concerning deposit insurance and the payment of compensation for deposit claims to clients of financial institutions declared by the Czech National Bank as unable to meet their obligations or where a court has issued a decision on bankruptcy. Daniel Nový will also deal with aspects of international cooperation in the area of deposit insurance.

During his professional career, Daniel Nový also worked at O2 Czech Republic a.s. and at ČEZ, a. s., and in international law firms in Prague and in Washington, D.C. He also gained valuable experience while working at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the United States of America and in the legal section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

In the Senior Lawyer position, Daniel Nový is replacing Jiří Hrabovský who left the Guarantee System at the end of October 2024.
